This update is a paid version. New configuration programs and files are added to the installation package, and more useful functions are supported.
In this update, driver of Ultra is optimized and required to reinstall the new one. Some factory utilities are optimized, and some known problems and user feedback bugs are fixed. The performance of some factory utility is optimized and will be used more smoothly in the future. New families are supported in Toshiba utility and Hitachi utility. In Seagate utility, firmware unlock and virtual boot are supported in more families. High baud rate is supported when writing 3D module during the process of virtual start, so writing speed is greatly improved. Some hard disks can not write LDR, in case of writing 3D module in virtual start, “Patch_ERR_WriteLDR” option is added to solve this problem.This time Seagate utility also checks whether the sector size of the hard disk service area is 4K (by ATA mode and serial port binary), so these kinds of hard disks are well supported, no longer need to worry about the module can not be read or the system file can only be read one-eighth. Three ABA methods are supported to write system files (by serial port low-speed, serial port high-speed, ATA) to solve the problem of user sector access interruption of LM series. As for the repair function, now Seagate supports shield head of 9YN164 in family ID58, shield head in family ID59, and model modification of family ID75 (LT012).
In WD utility, new family PebbleB is supported. The family hard disk has 10 heads, it means now WD utility supports head bitmap editing and SPT acquisition of 10 heads disk. In addition, module list with 1c length is supported to parse now. A new USB decryption type has been added and support disk with the board number 1927. The Boot ROM mode also adds more types of support. In addition to more extensive support for existing features, many new features have been added. For example, disable module 411 and 02.After the 02 module is disabled, the effect of closing the service area can be achieved, but it is not necessary to read and write the service area after loading the LDR as closing service area. When 02 module is disabled, power off and on, service area can be read directly.In addition, many new hard drives have 411 modules. Some of these new hard drives can not achieve above effect after disabling 02 module. In this case, only disabling 411 can be used to read and write the service area normally. Then fix some firmware failures according to the situation. 411 belongs to the microcode module, so the option of loading 411 is also added in loading LDR to ensure that the traditional family LDR can still be used in the new hard disk.Many convenient functions are also added, such as loading the module list from hard disk. After closing service area, this function can be used to read and write service area, and only when the micro code in the firmware is not damaged, can It be read from disk and loaded to RAM, that is automatic loading of LDR.More functions are added, like opening and closing service area shortcut menu, opening and closing service area in RAM, “read and write by RAM” shortcut button in right side toolbar. These functions greatly increase the software’s use of fluency.
In Samsung utility, RAM head map editing is added to create virtual head by changing mapping relations between RAM head map and physical head map. Burn in test is optimized and head map editing is added in resource download interface. Select this option when download resource and open self calibration, user will be able to shield heads. Terminal read and writ interface is optimized and stuck problem is fixed. In addition, the ROM information viewing function is added to display ROM type, ROM check, FIPS address size, Platform Id, head map, and other information.Also, read and write FIPS modules, clear FIPS modules, enter / exit DEBUG mode function are added. Sometimes the terminal will constantly display LED error, enter the DEBUG mode, LED will stop, then COM command can be sent to fix disk. It should be noted that in the DEBUG mode, the ATA interface does not work. At last, the family selection interface is modified. In the family selection interface, entering/exiting the Debug mode button and auto-detect family button are added. This allows users to exit the DEBUG mode and perform multiple auto-detection family operations before entering the factory program.
In DE utility, VHD and VHDX are supported. A new map function is added to splice maps freely. It also adds the function of changing the copy address mapping. It can allow arbitrary mapping of the source disk and target disk copy addresses. What’s more, a more practical function, head map format conversion is added to save head map file as another format.
